and General Studies.
Can I work at my own pace?
Online courses have a “Syllabus” prepared by the course instructor, to be
followed for reading, assignments, and testing. If you get behind, it can
be very hard to catch up. It is suggested that you follow the times and
dates posted on the course “Syllabus”.
Are online courses easier than on-campus courses?
No. Do not confuse the idea of flexibility with ease. Online courses have
the same course objectives and course material as on-campus courses. You
must exercise self-discipline.
If I take an online course, will I ever have to come to campus?
Some online courses may offer and, in some instances, require
you to attend an on-campus Orientation meeting. Some online courses require
on-campus proctored testing. However, proctored testing may be conducted at
approved locations other than the CVCC campus. You will be given
this information in the beginning of the semester to allow you adequate
time to prepare.
