Course Questions
How am I enrolled in a Blackboard course?
A specific program is run at the college daily that enrolls students into
the Blackboard courses for which they have registered. This procedure takes
approximately 24 hours from the time you register.
I am enrolled for the next semester. Why can’t I see my class in Bb?
Typically, online courses are not made available to students until the first day
of on-campus courses. If you do not see your course after the beginning date
(shown in the schedule) of on-campus courses, please call the Distance Education Center at 832-7745 for assistance.
When do online courses begin?
Online courses begin the same day that on-campus courses begin and follow
the same calendar as traditional courses.
How do I find out who my instructor is?
You will either be asked to attend an on-campus orientation, email your
instructor prior to the beginning of classes, or you will “meet them”
online when logging in to your Blackboard course.
How do I turn in my assignments in Blackboard?
There are several ways in which you can submit assignments...
- you may email the assignment as an attachment
- you may submit an assignment through the digital drop box
- you may submit your assignment using the assignment tool.
Your instructor will specify the method they wish for you to use.
What if I feel like I need some extra help with my course material?
Is there a way I can receive help? How?
You and your instructor will be in continuous contact throughout the
semester. E-mail your instructor if you need assistance. All student
support services available on campus can be used by Distance Education
students. To view all available student resources, click here.
