How to Access myCVCC

 

MyCVCC allows access to Blackboard, PeopleSoft (which is the Student Information System) and Student Email.

 

Blackboard is where online courses reside or Blackboard can supplement on-campus courses. In web courses, the entire course is conducted online through Blackboard. From the comfort of home, students can have a discussion, chat, retrieve and submit assignments, view their grades, etc.

 

PeopleSoft (or the Student Information System) is where students can find unofficial transcripts, view degree progress, view class schedules, apply for admission, view transfer credit report, and search for a class or browse the CVCC catalog. You can also maintain your personal information if you wish.

 

Student Email is the student’s Email account provided by CVCC. Email can be composed, sent, saved, etc. from here. You must use this Email account when communicating with the college.

 

1. Go to the CVCC homepage at http://www.cvcc.vccs.edu.

 

2. Click on myCVCC.

 

3. Type in your Username and Password and click the Log In button.

 

4. Don’t know your username? Click Look up your username shown below.  (If you know your username and password, type it in and proceed to step 14)

5. You must complete the form shown below and click Search.

 

6. The student’s information will be displayed and it is suggested that it be printed.

 

7. Don’t know your password?  Click Password Help shown below.  (If you know your password, type it in, click the Log In button and go to step 14.)

8. This page will appear.  Click Reset your password here.

 

9. The form shown below will be displayed.  Fill in the form and click Search.

 

10. You must answer the secret question with the answer you provided when you set up your password.  Type the answer in and click Submit.

NOTE: If you do not remember the answer to the secret question, go back to the login page (step 3 above) and click on the words indicated in the red box below:

 

11. You will be directed to the page shown below.  Type in your new password, retype it, and click Next.  (Note: Your secret question and answer will already be shown)

 

12. Your information will appear as shown below.  Print this page and click on the please log in link shown in red below.

 

 

 

13. The screen below will appear with your username. Type in the new, secure password you just created and click Log In. Continue with step 14.

 

14. A Welcome screen will appear. This is the portal that provides access to 1) Blackboard, the 2) Student Information System, or 3) Student Email.

 

15. Clicking on the blackboard link as shown in #1 in the diagram directly above will then open a page that will list Blackboard Courses that a student is enrolled in. Choose a course and click on it.
