Ways To Give To The Educational Foundation
The CVCC Educational Foundation actively solicits funds to support the college,
consistent with its mission. The are four means by which the Foundation may
receive support.
Annual Fund
Unrestricted and restricted gifts are received on an annual basis. Unrestricted
gifts are most useful to the Foundation in funding student scholarships,
providing grants for faculty/staff development, and purchasing new instructional
equipment. Restricted gifts for endowments, annual scholarship awards, and
other designated funds provide long and short-term support of students and
programs at CVCC.
Planned Gifts
Deferred gifts by cash, securities and real property must be accepted by the CVCC Educational Foundation Board of Directors. These gifts may endow scholarships, facilities, faculty or administrative chairs, and operational requirements of divisions, departments or programs.
Gifts-in-Kind
Donations of instructional equipment or other educationally related goods or services may be accepted by the Foundation. Prior authorization of a faculty member is generally required. Gifts-in-kind donations of property are transferred to the College and thus become assets of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Questions pertaining to gifts should be directed to Don Sutton, Executive Director of the CVCC Educational Foundation, Inc.
