Clark Joins CVCC Educational Foundation Board of Directors
Lynchburg, VA /Media Release/7/14/08 Central Virginia Community College Educational Foundation has elected Clyde T. Clark, Sr., to the Board of Directors. Clark, a retired Lynchburg City Schools Administrator, has been a member of the CVCC Local Advisory Board for the past eight years, serving as chairman in 2005-2007.
Clarks many community affiliations and responsibilities include serving as Chair of the Nominating Committee for the Lynchburg Voters League, Finance Chair for the Lynchburg Democratic Committee, and Board Development Chair for the Boys and Girls Club of Lynchburg. He has received the Black History Award from the First Baptist Church South Lynchburg and a Resolution of Appreciation from Central Virginia Community College
for his work on the Local Advisory Board.
The CVCC Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to provide CVCC funds for student scholarships, the purchase of state-of-the-art instructional equipment, and faculty and staff professional development. Clark will serve on the Foundations scholarship committee.
