Proctored Testing
Proctored Testing for Other Colleges & Universities
Central Virginia Community College does provide proctored testing for those students
who live in the surrounding area but take distance courses through other community
colleges and universities.
If you are a student from another college and wish to be proctored at CVCC, it is
your responsibility to provide any necessary proctor forms that your school or
instructor may require. The Coordinator of the Testing Center can complete the form
with the necessary information and return it to you to mail back or they can fax or
mail it back for you.
Some schools or instructors only require contact information; it all depends on the
college, each having their own guidelines. Once the proper forms and information are
submitted, the college will send the tests via mail or email. Please follow the
above guidelines on “How To Use The Testing Center” when you are ready to take your
tests.
Once your tests are completed, the Testing Center will return your tests to the
instructor via their instructions. If you are attending a college other than a
Virginia Community College, you are responsible for any postage that is needed to
return your tests if the college itself does not provide it.
CVCC Student’s Proctored at Other Locations
If you are enrolled in a CVCC distance course and need to be proctored at another
location you must first contact your instructor to see how he or she wants to handle
the testing. You will also need a Proctor Request Form
to verify that your proctor is acceptable. This needs to be done as soon as
possible so that your tests can be mailed in a timely manner.
Acceptable proctors include but are not limited to the following: college or
university personnel, faculty members, counselors, Liberians, any college testing
center, public or private school personnel such as teachers, principals, member of
the clergy. Proctors cannot be family or relatives of the student. If you have
any questions about a suitable proctor, please contact your instructor for their
approval.
Please contact the Testing Center for any questions.
